Everyday Raw is formulated for adult AAFCO standards. Please see Feeding Guidelines for instructions for puppies.

Kangaroo is a good alternative for dogs with severe food allergies but it also has some great health benefits for all dogs. It contains less than 2% fat and is packed with B vitamins, iron, zinc and other trace minerals. Kangaroo is naturally sourced so it never contains growth hormones or antibiotics and is able to forage out on an open range in Australia. It is high in long-chain Omega-3 fatty acids and is extremely low in saturated fat. Like buffalo, kangaroo is a perfect meat source for any dog suffering from pancreatitis. In this blend we use kangaroo tails, which incorporates a natural bone source for calcium and other minerals in addition to the meat.

Organ meats are an essential source of minerals in a raw diet. Unfortunately, we are not currently able to get kangaroo organ meats and most novelty organ meats are also quite limited in supply. While some pets do have allergies to lamb, it is less common than beef and chicken and is a great source of vitamins and minerals.  We have also included lamb tripe, which is a great source of enzymes.

Herring is packed full of health promoting nutrients for your pup.  It is an excellent source of high-quality protein, vitamins and minerals (including potassium, selenium and vitamin B12), but it is their content of Omega-3 fatty acids that receives the most attention, and rightly so. The most beneficial Omega-3 fats occur naturally in oily fish in the form of eicosapentanoic acid (EPA) and docosahexanoic acid (DHA). These fatty acids are thought to contribute to healthy brain function, the heart, joints, and general wellbeing. Red, yellow and green veggies are a great source of antioxidants and phytonutrients for your pet. Ours are blended for maximum absorption.

Why do we use Black Soldier Fly powder in the No Frilz blends?

Black soldier fly larvae (not to be confused with a common house fly) are a unique insect that that has a number of unique nutritional benefits. It has a high concentration of several essential minerals such as manganese that are difficult to find in raw meats. It also contains medium chain fatty acids (coconut is the only other source of this healthy fat). We use a small amount of the black soldier fly powder to balance the minerals in these diets. This is whole food ingredient that is both safe and highly palatable. To learn more, please check the blogs on our website.

 SAFETY & HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS

Keep product frozen until ready to use. Defrost package in a leak-proof container (reduces the risk of cross contamination!) and leave in the refrigerator for 24 hours, or until soft through. We recommend serving in a stainless steel bowl as it is easier to clean, and does not have surface pores that may collect bacteria. Partially eaten food should be put back into the refrigerator after 20 minutes. Wash hands, utensils and all contact surfaces with soap and hot water.

*Poultry should not be kept longer than 2 days.
*Red meats & fish should not be kept longer than 3 days.
