Now you can feed a greater variety of bones AND consider the environment! All profits from our BULK BEEF HOCKS will be donated to a Canadian Eco-Charity. At RDBK, we believe that since we use animals in our food for other animals, we should show animals in the food chain respect by a) treating them ethically and b) ensuring that as many parts as possible of each animal gets used!  Our new Beef Hock Bones  are our statement to ensure no bone goes to waste!

We know that giving raw bones to our pets provides them with many benefits including

  • A natural source of calcium
  • Nature’s toothbrush—chewing raw bones helps remove plaque and keeps teeth and gums clean and healthy
  • Excellent mental stimulation—for dogs in particular, chewing raw bones is like solving a puzzle and can provide hours of enjoyment and mental activity!

While Femur and Knuckle bones are well known and popular, other parts of bone joints, like Hocks, often get left behind! Many of these beautiful and nutritious bones are discarded either at the processing plant or by secondary manufacturers. We believe this is wasteful and we want to see the waste stopped!

When choosing a raw bone for your pet, please note these important tips:

  • Always choose bones larger than your pets mouth capacity to avoid choking.
  • Always supervise your pet while chewing on bones.
  • Never feed cooked bones!!!
  • If your pet cannot tolerate raw bones, be sure to include a meal that contains bone in it 3-4 times per week. Alternatively, you can add a quality natural sourced calcium supplement to their diet.

Keep frozen. Recreational bones for medium and large dogs (25 lbs to 80 lbs). For cleaner teeth and mental stimulation. Choose a bone larger than your pet’s mouth capacity, defrost before feeding, and always supervise closely. Throw away bone when your dog has chewed down to the brittle part of the bone, as splinters can occur. Do not allow your dog to chew the bone down to small pieces he can swallow. Refrigerate leftovers or discard within 1 hour. Wash hands and all contact surfaces with soap and hot water.

Caution: This product is NOT recommended for aggressive chewers – femur can splinter with enough pressure. Bones that are filled with marrow should be avoided if your pet has pancreatitis. DO NOT COOK!
